Co-op Connections® for Businesses FAQ’s

As a business, how do I join?

On this website you can print all the participant information. Go to the Co-op Connections for Businesses page, and you will see links for the letter, brochure and contract. If you would like a business recruitment package sent to you, you may email eric.devault@mlec.com. Upon returning your contract, an MLEC representative will contact you to confirm your offer and participation.

Can only MLEC businesses participate?

No, businesses do not have to be an MLEC customer to participate.

What does it cost the business to participate?

There is no cost, except the discount the business decides to offer.

How will the public know the business is participating in the program?

Three ways: A listing on www.mlec.com, a window decal at the business location, and a listing on the national Web site directory www.connections.coop.

As a participating business, what is my commitment?

Participating businesses commit to a discount offer with a one-year contract. At the end of the contract, a business may choose to change the discount offer, or opt out of the program with a 30-day written notice.

How will MLEC promote participating businesses?

A business description and discount information will appear on www.mlec.com. In addition, your listing on the national Web site directory, www.connections.coop is searchable by Cooperative, by business category and by state. MLEC may also do periodic promotions of the Co-op Connections program.

If I have any questions about the Co-op Connections program, who do I call?

You can contact Eric DeVault at 931-729-7216 or by email at eric.devault@mlec.com.
