Adopt-A-School Grant Program
MLEC offers the program to help its rural schools cope with increasing financial pressure and show its support for education. All educators in MLEC's service area are invited to participate in the program. Applications are due November 16 2011. Grants of $1000 are available in each county.
This annual grant is intended to supplement funding of specific, innovative, classroom-level programs being carried out primarily in schools with greater fund needs. This includes multi-class projects that impact individual classroom instruction. Projects should enhance learning opportunities for students.
To apply, area school educators or principals should submit an official application to Member Services, Attn. Vanessa Clayborn, MLEC, P.O. Box 240, Centerville, TN 37033, or e-mail it to vanessa.clayborn@mlec.com. Applications are available at each school, any MLEC office, or can be requested by calling 931-729-3558.
