TVA FCA Dips again
February 01, 2012
The Tennessee Valley Authority Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) will decrease when accounts are billed in February, putting it at its lowest price in almost two years.
It equals a drop of $3.30 (2.5 percent) for Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative members using an average of 1200 kilowatt-hours.
The TVA FCA is subject to change monthly and is listed as a separate line item on MLEC statements. These charges will go up or down each month depending on TVA prices and the amount of energy used by the individual account.
To help members identify ways to reduce energy bills, MLEC offers a number of FREE and affordable resources. Visit www.mlec.com or call your local MLEC office to learn more about online and professional audits, as well as insulation and water heaters rebates.
