Before enrolling please note: ü Once enrolled you will no longer receive a bill from MLEC via U.S. mail. An e-mail will be sent approximately ten days prior to the bill due date stating you have a bill ready. Unfortunately, as with regular US mail, there is no way to guarantee the delivery of your bill once it is sent. Therefore, it is the member's responsibility to check the online site for the posting of your current bill, and late charges will be applied if not paid on or before the due date. If you do not receive your e-mail notification log on to the online system to view your bill. It will be posted to the site at least one week before the due date. ü You may elect to only view your bill online and pay via U.S. mail, bank draft, at the office, in the night deposit box, etc. If so, print and bring/mail a copy with payment. ü You can also pay online using VISA, MasterCard, or direct debit to your checking account. Online payments are done via an encrypted site and certified by Thawte as secure. Check this certification on the opening screen. If the net due amount of your bill is greater than $1500 you will only be able to pay online via a checking account and NOT by credit card. ü Internet Explorer 6.0/Netscape Navigator 6.0 and Adobe Acrobat Reader are needed for optimum viewing and functionality. Upgrade your PC with these free downloads by clicking on the icons below. ü The "Login ID" and "Password" requested when enrolling can be anything you choose. ü Your MLEC Customer Identification Number (CIN) is needed to enroll. This is on your paper bill directly above the billing message box, or contact MLEC. ü Payments scheduled after 11PM CST will be processed the following day. The system may be down for maintenance on Wednesdays from 9 PM to Midnight. |
